Be evaluated on more than your credentials.
There is no universal pass or fail: your results may indicate stronger alignment with some firms than others.
Complete one assessment to give participating firms a more complete view of how you think and work. You control which firms see your results, and each firm considers them using its own model benchmarking current attorneys who thrive there.
Firms consider these results along with your resume, transcript, and feedback from interviews to form a more complete picture of your candidacy.
How Suited works for you
Complete your profile and assessment
Create your free profile, add your resume and academic information, and complete the Suited assessment. The assessment provides participating firms with additional insight into how you think and work, not just what appears on your transcript.
Choose which firms can see your results
You control where your information goes. Share your profile and assessment results with specific firms when you apply, or choose to make them available to other participating firms. Nothing is shared without your permission.
Be evaluated more completely
Each firm considers your results alongside your resume, transcript, and the rest of its recruiting process. Because every firm evaluates candidates through its own model of what thriving looks like there, your results may indicate stronger alignment with some firms than others.
Connect with interested firms
Partner firms will invite you to complete Suited when you submit your application to their programs. You can wait to complete your profile then or do it in advance. Either way, you decide which conversations you want to pursue and which firms have access to your data.
FAQs
01How long does the assessment take?
The full assessment takes about 30 minutes once you have completed the registration and authenticated your account. It is free for candidates. Once you finish, your results can be made available to the participating firms you authorize.
02Who can see my results?
Only the participating firms you authorize can access your results. You can share them when applying to a particular firm or choose to make them available more broadly. Your results are not public, and Suited does not share them with a firm without your permission.
03How do firms use my results?
Firms consider your Suited results alongside your resume, transcript, interviews, and other information collected during their recruiting process. Suited provides additional behavioral and cognitive insights, but it does not make hiring decisions or automatically accept or reject candidates. Those decisions remain with each firm and the people involved in its recruiting process.
04What does the assessment measure?
The assessment measures both cognitive skills and behavioral competencies relevant to legal work. The cognitive portion evaluates attention to detail, critical reasoning, and logical reasoning. The behavioral portion provides insight into how you approach your work, collaborate with others, and respond to different demands and environments. Cognitive questions have correct answers; the behavioral portion does not have one universally “right” profile.
05I don’t attend a top-ranked law school. Is Suited for me?
Yes. Suited gives participating firms additional evidence about how you think and work: information that a school name, resume, or transcript cannot fully capture. That can help firms identify strong candidates they may not have discovered through traditional credentials alone. Completing the assessment does not guarantee an interview or offer, but it gives firms a more complete basis on which to evaluate you.
06I attend a top-ranked law school. Is Suited still useful for me?
Yes. Strong credentials can help you get noticed, but they do not show firms everything about how you think, work, or where you may thrive. Suited gives participating firms a more complete view of your potential and may also introduce you to firms or opportunities you had not previously considered.
07Can I retake the assessment?
You can retake the assessment every 9 months (once per recruiting cycle). It is designed to give a consistent result, so take it when you have enough uninterrupted time to complete it thoughtfully. If you need a reasonable accommodation, contact Suited before beginning the assessment.
08Can firms see where else I applied or shared my results?
No. A participating firm can see only the information you authorize Suited to share with that firm. It cannot see which other firms you applied to or where else you shared your results.
09What happens to my assessment results after I graduate?
All firms’ access to your law-school recruiting results ends after you graduate. Your results are not automatically carried into lateral recruiting or made available to firms later in your career. If you choose to opt into Suited’s lateral platform, you will have the opportunity to retake the assessment and decide whether and when your updated information is shared.
There is more to you than your resume.
